SUPPORT THE AIR FORCE MUSEUM
FOUNDATION

MAKE A GIFT, BECOME A FRIEND

MAKE A GIFT, BECOME A FRIEND

Any annual donation to the Air Force Museum Foundation makes you part of the Friends of the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force™ program. Your generous support of the Foundation is vital to the success of the Museum. Since 1960, the Air Force Museum Foundation has given nearly $100,000,000 of financial support to the Museum.

Each year, the Air Force provides appropriated funding to the Museum for normal day-to-day operations and facility maintenance. The Foundation provides additional financial support to the Museum to pay for things like facility expansion, new or existing exhibit enhancements, education programs, special events, restoration and conservation projects, and more.

Gifts from donors like you are critically important to the Museum.
Won’t you become part of this amazing mission and become a Friend today?

MORE WAYS TO GIVE

Every gift you make helps preserve aviation history, honor those who served, and inspire future generations. Your generosity ensures that the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force™ continues to educate, engage, and uplift millions of visitors each year.

The Air Force Museum Foundation does not provide tax, legal, or financial advice. Donors should consult their tax, legal, or financial advisors to determine the most appropriate charitable giving strategies for their individual circumstances.

Planned Giving
Leave a lasting legacy.
Include the Air Force Museum Foundation in your will, trust, retirement plan, or life insurance policy.
Your future commitment enrolls you in the Keepers of Their Stories Legacy Society, joining the 181 donors who have already committed their legacy to the mission.

Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD)
A QCD is a tax-advantaged gift made directly from your IRA to a qualified charity.
Individuals age 70½ or older can give up to $111,000 in 2026. Because the distribution goes straight to charity, it can be excluded from taxable income. Please note: QCDs made before RMD age do not reduce or affect future RMDs.

Donor-Advised Fund (DAF)
A DAF is a simple, flexible, and tax efficient way to support the causes you love.
You may contribute cash, stock, or other assets for an immediate tax deduction, then recommend grants to charities—such as the Air Force Museum Foundation—over time. DAFs are one of the fastest-growing charitable giving vehicles because they make giving easy and impactful.

Required Minimum
Distribution (RMD)
Beginning at age 73, the IRS requires annual withdrawals— known as Required Minimum Distributions—from tax-deferred retirement accounts such as IRAs and 401(k)s.
Directing a portion of your RMD to the Air Force Museum Foundation may reduce taxable income while supporting a mission you care deeply about.

Gifts of Stock or Securities
Donating appreciated securities allows you to avoid capital gains tax while making a meaningful investment in preserving and sharing our nation’s aviation heritage.

SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

Foundation events at the Museum are directly related to our mission; they are ticketed events that bring the public to the Museum for unique experiences while raising needed funds to support the Museum. Foundation events foster a close partnership with the community at large.

The Foundation is currently inviting sponsors to support After Dark in 2026. After Dark: Bombers & Brews (November 7) is an after-hours event for adults (21+) to experience the Museum in a singular way, enjoying entertainment throughout the Museum while interacting with open aircraft and viewing artifacts from the Museum’s collection that are not normally available to the public.

Event around large aircraft.

THANK YOU TO OUR SPONSORS!
